With an intensive German course A1 you can learn German quickly and inexpensively. In a day course, for example, you have two hours of German lessons a day and can integrate what you have learned directly into your everyday life. From the grammatical structures of the German language to sound basic knowledge, you will learn to understand and speak German. Depending on your life situation, we at Alemania German School adapt to your rhythm of life. You can book intensive day courses with us, which offer two hours a day. But we also offer evening courses and German courses on Saturdays so that you can quickly reach your German goal. If, however, an individual course is more suitable for you, we naturally also offer this option, even if you cannot attend our German school in Zurich, Bern or Lucerne.

Listening comprehension German course A1
- I can understand German when a person speaks to me clearly and slowly. Long pauses give me time to grasp the meaning of what is being said.
- I can understand a route description in German when someone explains to me how to get to a destination on foot or by public transport.
- I can understand the time, prices and numbers.
Speaking German course A1
- I can introduce myself and other people. I can ask other people questions about themselves. This includes, for example, questions about where they live, their age or things they own.
- I am able to answer questions about myself.
- I can communicate in a simple way if the other person speaks clearly and slowly and helps me to understand something.
Reading German course A1
- I can understand information about people such as place of residence or age in a newspaper article.
- I can understand short and simple messages, for example via Whatsapp.
- I can understand simple, short written explanations of directions.
Writing German course A1
- I can give personal details such as age, occupation, place of residence or hobbies on questionnaires.
- I can write birthday wishes to someone.
- I can write simple sentences about myself and record where I live and what I do.
