Description:

Study the German language in our compact intensive course. The Alemania intensive course is the most efficient form of language tuition.

	Aside from the language skills, students will gain insights into the city of Zurich, respectively the city of Lucerne or the city of Berne, and its cultural highlights.
We offer:	40 hours of intensive language tuition with a qualified and competent teacher. You will be assigned to a group that corresponds to you your level of competence. 40-60 hours of practice-proven self-study exercises. 1 cultural excursion, which will be offered, where appropriate, in conjunction with particular courses, are designed to familiarise the student with the main sights of the city. 3-hour cinema evening with subsequent moderated discussion. This evening is subject to demand.

Short-term
target:

You will receive a comprehensive introduction to the German language. The course will provide the necessary basis for understanding everyday situations, enabling you to express yourself as soon as possible. You will also be introduced to the various grammatical structures and shown how to employ them. Are two hours a day enough?

According to our experience, most students soon lose interest on courses that last longer than two hours a day. The initial euphoria evaporates quickly when the intensive lessons are accompanied by several hours of homework.

Shorter sessions mean that it is easier to compensate for sporadic absences. Conversely, it is extremely difficult to make up for lost time on courses with more than 2 hours of tuition per day.

Most potential language students would be wise to adhere to the following instructions: It is better to study two hours a day over a longer period of time than to do an intensive course, with long hours, which is abandoned after a few weeks.

And don't forget! Homework is an integral part of the course; you should expect at least one hour of homework every day.
